Project Spotlight: Enterprise Infrastructure Meets Invisible Audio & Surveillance
Explore inside our recent estate project featuring a centralized Strong rack, LEA Professional amplification, Ubiquiti enterprise networking, and invisible Ambisonic landscape audio. Meticulously wired, labeled, and engineered for total system stewardship.
When designing technology for high-end residential estates, true luxury isn't defined by visible boxes and messy wires—it’s defined by seamless performance, clean engineering, and total invisibility.
For this recent estate project, our engineering team delivered a reference-grade, whole-home solution combining enterprise-grade networking, high-performance audio, and comprehensive property surveillance into a centralized low-voltage hub.
1. The Central Rack: Pristine Engineering Behind Closed Doors
At the core of the home’s infrastructure sits a fully enclosed, floor-standing Strong rack with custom glass paneling. Built for performance, serviceability, and thermal control, every component was spec'd and mounted with precise tolerance:
Enterprise Networking: Driven by a full Ubiquiti UniFi rack ecosystem, including high-capacity PoE+ switches, clean patch panel termination, and custom-length blue ethernet cabling.
Intelligent Power Infrastructure: Managed through rack-mounted WattBox IP PDU power conditioning and dedicated battery backup (UPS) systems, allowing remote rebooting, surge protection, and uninterrupted uptime.
Zone Audio Management: A stacked array of Sonos Ports mapped cleanly to specific estate zones (Living Room, Master Suite, Family Room, Dining Room, Pool, and Patio).
2. Audio Performance: LEA Amplification & Ambisonic Landscape Sound
To deliver hi-fi sound across both the indoor living spaces and the extensive outdoor grounds, we paired Sonos front-end control with pro-grade amplification and architectural speakers:
LEA Professional Amplification: Commercial-grade DSP power amplifiers driving high-channel audio zones with massive headroom and ultra-clean power distribution.
Ambisonic Outdoor Audio: Outdoor landscape speakers and subwoofers strategically placed within the garden foliage to provide full-range, uniform sound coverage along the lawn and patio without hot spots or visual clutter.
3. Structured Cable Management & Serviceability
A key mark of our installation standard is how cables enter and exit the rack. Rather than relying on exposed bundles or sloppy cutouts:
Umbilical Cable Snakes: Structured cabling drops from a flush-mounted wall enclosure into clean, high-density braided mesh sleeves running across the carpet directly into the bottom rack entry ports.
Full Mobility: This flexible umbilical setup allows the main rack to be smoothly rotated or rolled out on casters for routine maintenance without putting stress on a single connection point.
Structured Enclosure: Wall-mounted structured media panel houses secondary terminations, clean patch fields, and wireless access point gateways.
Engineered for Stewardship
From the invisible garden speakers to the meticulously bundled rear rack wiring, every wire on this project was labeled, dressed, and documented. The result is a rock-solid network, immersive whole-home sound, and an infrastructure built to perform reliably for years to c
